Conductor Jerrold Jimmerson stated, “We are honored to have been included in the day’s schedule, and to be able to present many of the songs that Karl King wrote for various circus acts to the hundreds of people that regularly attend this event."

Assistant Conductor Dr. David Klee conducted the band in playing Ragged Rosey (1913) and Sells Floto Triumphal (1914).

Karl King wrote The Big Cage galop in 1934.   He dedicated it to lion tamer Clyde Beatty.

The afternoon program finished with Karl King's well known masterpiece, Barnum and Bailey's Favorite, which was composed in 1913 and dedicated to Barnum and Bailey bandmaster Ned Brill.
