The first number on this evening's program was Karl King's best-known march,
Barnum and Bailey's Favorite composed in 1913.

       Next was Colossus of Columbia, a 1901 march composed by Russell Alexander.   Russell Alexander was
a musician in the Barnum and Bailey Circus band two decades before Karl King's career with that circus.

The third number on the evening program was the Overture Zampa, composed by Louis Joseph Ferdinand Herold.

Andrew Glover, Executive Vice President of C. L. Barnhouse Company in Oskaloosa, Iowa, next led the band
in performing Karl King's 1959 march Black and Gold which was dedicated to Al Wright of Purdue University Bands.
