Ralph Peer performed on the flute and piccolo in the Karl King band for many years. However, the Greatest Ocarina Player in the World would sometimes be featured as an ocarina soloist with the King Band.

This 1962 Iowa Bandmasters Convention Program shows Ralph Peer performed as ocarina soloist at the annual banquet. Bill Henderson was his accompanist for this performance.
